How Individual Sessions Work

The purpose of individual sessions is to provide you with one-on-one time to focus on your personal life goals, with the support of a therapist. A therapist can function much in the way that a sports coach helps an athlete; it can be useful to you to have the help of someone who is not directly involved in your life. Just like a gymnast might not be able to see for themselves the way slight positioning changes might help them on the balance beam, a therapist on the outside of your life may be able to help you find solutions and supports you haven't considered.

My clients have reported many gains from participating in individual sessions. Some of the results that clients have reported are:

* better, happier relationships with partners, spouses and children
* relief from anxiety and nightmares
* liking yourself more
* creating a happy home life
* smoother relationships at work
* more skill with job interviews, meetings at work or court appearances
* developing realistic plans to reach life goals

Other areas I can help with include:

* learn the skills you need for effective public speaking
* a powerful way of visualizing that can help you gain more clarity, more certainty, and   more ease in life
* ways to help you deal with procrastination
* how to focus on what really matters to you in life, instead of being overwhelmed by     having too much to do
* ways of dealing with other people's negativity that works

You can get a taste of this by calling for a free, 30-minute introductory session. During our introductory session, we will talk about your personal goals and challenges. Together, we will explore how I might help you create a life that is filled with what is important to you.

At the end of the introductory session, I will give you information about how to start individual sessions. If you are ready to move forward, we'll talk about logistics and appointment times.
